Arambol Beach Arambol (also known as Harmal) is a large and sprung out village near the seashore that can be approached either from Pernem in the east or from the south via Morjim and Mandrem. Either way you'll land up at Arambol Junction where these two roads meet and where a third leads north to Tiracol.

The post office, petrol pump, bus stop and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church are clustered around the junction.

The main Arambol road leads west from here, running the length of the village and lined with hotels and restaurants many lanes leads left off it to the beaches. One of these leads to tiny more secluded and little used Paliem beach with its freshwater lake that you can use for swimming, in the shadow of Waghcolomb hill.

Climb up Waghcolomb hill for the best possible views of the blue sea and surf hitting the beach.

Map of Arambol The villagers are friendly and the place is less touristy allowing you to have a close experience of local life and culture.

There is relaxed environment and peace and tranquility attracts many day-trippers from other beaches nearby.

Many buses regularly ply between Arambol and Mapusa and Arambol and Chopdem. It takes around 40 minutes to reach Arambol from Chopdem. On market days you can take boats to Anjuna.
